Fellowship and Cell Groups

We live in a world where there is a lack of meaningful contact between people. As a result, interpersonal relationships and personal spiritual lives become superficial and do not have depth. Cell groups therefore are designed to provide a more intimate setting for mutual care, relational building and spiritual and personal growth. This type of set-up is attested by the Biblical pattern found in the book of Acts and also observed in growing and vibrant churches everywhere. In order to encourage spiritual growth and meeting needs of individuals, JBC has initiated four types of small groups with different primary emphases:

1. Discipleship group: Systematic Bible study for growth, mutual accountability in spiritual disciplines, care/fellowship

2. Fellowship/Care group: Encouragement, sharing and care for relationship building, supported by relevant thematic Bible studies (couples and individuals)

3. Evangelistic group: Outreach to seekers, relationship building and care; evangelistic Bible study

4. Prayer group: Focusing on worship, devotional sharing and prayer

Currently we have women’s fellowship/care and evangelism cell group, men’s fellowship/care and evangelism cell group and family fellowship/care cell group (in English); family fellowship/care cell group, the senior fellowship/care cell group and sister’s prayer cell groups.
